The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Badge Graphic Design Relief is present and detailed.Insignia remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Silverplated surface finish is largely intact w/ areas of wear on high relief. Retention Fob Chain is complete with Pin. All fastening fittings are complete. Item is Second-Hand.

An EXCELLENT example of a World War 2, 1940s Royal Natal Carbineers Silverplated 'Sweetheart Brooch' Badge w/ Fob Chain. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Graphic Design Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Silverplated finish appears to be mostly complete, with smaller areas of wear visible on high relief. All retention pins and fob chain are present. 

This item appears to have originally been a base metal collar badge for the Unit - prior to being augmented into the 'Sweetheart Brooch' format.
