Grammar, punctuation and spelling: lets face it, important though they are, these have never been the easiest topics to make fun until now! Let BrainBox English come to the rescue, helping you sort out pronouns from prepositions, adverbs from apostrophes and synonyms from syllables. The object of the game is to study a card for 10 seconds and then answer a question based on the roll of a die. If the question is answered correctly, the card is kept, and the person with the most number of cards after 5 or 10 minutes is the winner. BrainBox English features 70 cards covering all aspects of grammar. Nouns, verbs, tenses, plurals, homophones and many other useful areas of English language teaching are included. There are also some cards looking at words which have come into English from other languages. This is a great title to support the teaching of English Visual Perception is a vital skill for all children (and teens) to assist them with learning to read, and to read with good comprehension. Click here to read my blog on the importance of perception in learning to read. How to Play 1. Youngest player goes first. Take a card from the BrainBox and turn over the sand timer and study to card. 2. When the timer is finished, the player passes the card to another player and rolls the die. 3. Another player reads the question that corresponds to the number displayed on the dice. The answer is checked by looking at the front of the card as this will show the correct answer. 4. If you have answered correctly you keep the card, if not place it to one side. 5. The next player then take their turn. 6. The winner is the player with the most cards after 10 minutes. Contents: 70 cards, 1 rules card, 1 sand timer, 1 die Age: 7 Number of players: 1
