We're talking about a nice padded bag for your digital camera. A good camera bag, should have ample padding to protect your camera, and also seperate compartments for your camera, and accessories you might want to take along. Such a bag quickly pays for itself in terms of convenience. Don't think a home-made cloth bag can do the trick. What happens if your camera falls? In a proper bag it has a chance of surviving (please don't test it!) It also lasts longer in general, and is protected against dust, rain and scratching. The real value of a proper bag comes when you want to upgrade your camera, and want to resell your present camera to cover some of the cost. Scratch-free cameras fetch a far better price than a camera showing signs of use and abuse.
