"CENTENBAK" IS THE WORD THAT I LEARNED FOR THIS THING, IT'S A "BEGGAR'S COIN BOX". IN HOLLAND ORGAN GRINDERS AND OTHER STREET MUSICIANS USED SIMILAR BOXES TO COLLECT COINS.
 
THIS SORT OF ITEM WOULD BE MADE BY A TINKER OR TINSMITH OR SIMILAR CRAFTSMAN, IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MASS PRODUCED. JUST LOOK AT IT - IT'S CLEARLY HANDMADE.
