Offered on this auction is this lovely Dutch Brass and Copper Coal Scuttle.
A coal scuttle is a bucket-like container for holding a small, intermediate supply of coal convenient to an indoor coal-fired stove or heater. Homes that don't use coal sometimes use a coal scuttle decoratively.
The Coal receptacle of this Scuttle is made of Copper and stands on a Brass base. It has Delft handles and dates to about 1950.
This Scuttle stands 17 cm tall and is 21 cm long.
This Scuttle is in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
It has seen fair use but is still highly presentable (see photos).
The Delft handles are in Very Good Condition.
