Bravecto Spot On for Dogs offers convenient, extended parasite protection in an easy-to-apply topical treatment. Formulated with fluralaner, Bravecto Spot-On provides immediate and persistent activity against fleas and ticks while also treating important mite infestations.
A single application provides dogs with 6 months of flea protection and 4 months of tick protection, significantly reducing how often parasite treatments need to be administered compared with conventional monthly products.
Because Bravecto Spot-On is applied directly to the skin, it is an excellent alternative for dogs that are difficult to give tablets or chews to.
Bravecto Spot On Dogs contains fluralaner, a systemic insecticide and acaricide.
After application to the skin, fluralaner is absorbed into the dog's system. Fleas and ticks are exposed to the active ingredient after attaching to the dog and beginning to feed.
The product begins acting quickly. According to the current South African product information, the onset of effect occurs within approximately 8 hours, with at least 90% of ticks killed within 8 hours immediately following treatment and continued tick-killing activity throughout the treatment period.
Bravecto Spot On Dogs also kills newly emerged fleas before they can establish a continuing infestation, helping to interrupt the flea life cycle.
A single treatment has additionally been shown to prevent transmission of Dipylidium caninum, the flea-transmitted tapeworm, from infected fleas to susceptible dogs for 12 weeks.
Bravecto Spot-On is registered for the treatment and prevention of flea, tick and mite infestations in dogs.
Provides persistent flea-killing activity for 6 months.
The product can also be used as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD).
Provides persistent tick-killing activity for 4 months and is effective against important tick species including:
Bravecto Spot-On is also registered for treatment of:

Select the correct pipette according to your dog's current body weight.
Part the coat so that the skin is clearly visible and apply the solution directly onto the skin. The entire contents of the appropriate pipette should be used.
For smaller dogs, the treatment can be applied in one spot between the shoulder blades. For larger dogs, distribute the solution across several spots along the back to help prevent excessive run-off.
Do not apply to damaged skin or open wounds.
For continuous parasite protection:
Bravecto Spot On Dogs may be used in puppies from 8 weeks of age and dogs weighing at least 2kg. Safety has not been established in younger or lighter dogs.
The most commonly observed adverse reactions during clinical trials were mild and temporary reactions at the application site, reported in approximately 1.2% of treated dogs.
Keep the application site away from the eyes and mouth, and prevent people or other animals from touching the area until it has dried.
