Henry was born December 1935 on a farm near Pietersburg. A passion for art since his early childhood has been the foundation for exploring various techniques and finally settling for painting in oils since 1970. For the past 33 years Henry's work is displayed in group as well as solo exhibitions. His work is typically South African landscapes depicting with realism the natural beauty of land and skies. He received his formal training and inspiration from art lecturer Ernist King. Apart from earning a living as a senior draughtsman for a number of years, his hobby has become his obsession and full time occupation.
