Oil painting on canvas roll

Danie Cronje is a South African artist. His oil paintings and pastel drawings were featured in the Ffiago Art Gallery as well as the Garden Route Art Gallery and George Museum Gallery. Currently at Root44 in Somerset West Mall and a couple of smaller galleries in the Garden Route. One of his sketches appeared in a national magazine (Huisgenoot) when he was 12 years old. His cartoon strips are also used in school textbooks by three publishers since 2013. He was illustrator for books about army life in 1986 and his cartoons appeared in a national newspaper from 1987 to 1989. Since 2004 he specialises in portraits and the female figure. He does not do erotic art though. Three of his pastel artworks were included in the book of artists over the world, "Visual Creativity, Vol 3" by Mark McGough. He was awarded a merit award in 2021 by SCAVA (South Cape Association for Visual Arts) for 3rd place in a competition "The story behind my favourite painting".
