Bottom(6 o clock) mini dial measures seconds .The mini dial at 9 o clock measures minutes.top button starts and stops, bottom button resets to zero as in picture.  The sun/moon dial works with the main dial.Mini dials are black, with fine detailed lettering. The picture really does not do this watch justice.
