The watch has three subdials, at 3'o clock is the date window,at 6'o clock is a mini dial that runs automatically with the main needles showing seconds. At 9 and 12 'o clock the subdials indicate hours,and minutes as part of the stopwatch function only. The main large seconds needle is activated as part of the stopwatch function. The top pushbutton stops and starts the stopwatch (which starts the main seconds needle, and the subdials at 9 and 12 'o clock to count seconds, minutes and hours), the bottom pushbutton resets the stopwatch to zero. Looks very cool when the second hand swings around automatically back to zero. The second hand can also be set to start counting from any point on the clock.
