Released: 7/11/11 Music Genre: Ambient
Description: Ambient pioneer, hit producer, multi-media artist & technological innovator BRIAN ENO started his career as a founding member of glam rockers Roxy Music, before leaving the band in 1973 to pursue a pioneering & highly successful solo career, including collaborations with David Byrne, Robert Fripp & Harold Budd. As a producer, credits include work with Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Coldplay, Paul Simon, Grace Jones as well as seven albums for U2. Notable recent local activity would incl. Brian curating the 1st VIVID Festival in Sydney. DRUMS BETWEEN THE BELLS is collaboration between Eno and poet RICK HOLLAND, whom Eno met in the late 90s. The album has already received acclaim from overseas, with Stool Pigeon describing it "The best LP the ambient pioneer has been involved with since the mid-eighties. Imagine Boards Of Canada's 'Music Has The Right To Children' as an actual soundtrack to a documentary"
