Brian Willan, Sol Plaatje: A Biography

Johannesburg: Ravan Press, 1984 (first edition). Softcover with pictorial wraps, 436 pp, index. Several special insets with in total more than 100 historical photographs. 

Book in very good condition. The covers show some shelfwear and there are bumps and creases on most of the corners. Spine somewhat sun faded and a slight tear at the bottom. Internally very clean and tightly bound. No inscriptions. 

The standard biography of an important South African historical figure. Includes much detail on Plaatje's role during the Mafeking siege of the Anglo-Boer War. 

Postage: R40 with SAPO or R100 with Postnet (branch to branch - faster and safer). Naturally I will gladly combine items to save on postage costs.
