BRIDGE OVER RIVER (Oribi Gorge)

Reel Fincham started painting in her forties while living in the Transvaal bushveld under the tuition of the then well-known local watercolour artist Michael Du Toit.

Reel then moved to the south coast of South Africa where she started painting in oils. She later started doing some work with a local artist Nick Stobart who works mainly in acrylics. This medium appealed to Reel because of its versatility and quicker drying time.

Reel now paints from her studio in Hibberdene where she also teaches art lessons.

Reel has always had a passion for the African bush and hence her landscapes are based around these types of scenes. Her artwork hangs in houses all over South Africa and can be seen in Galleries on the South Coast as well as on line at bid or buy.
