Ultimate Aquatic Solutions™ BRIGHT Nitrate Removal and Ultra Water Clarifier Resin
BRIGHT Resin is purpose designed for the efficient and effective removal of Nitrates from aquarium water as well as ensuring ultimate water clarity.
Nitrate levels should always be kept as low as possible in the aquarium and depending on your tank inhabitants, should not exceed the levels highlighted below
Symptoms of Elevated Nitrates
- Algae blooms and excessive algae growth in the aquarium.
- Deteriorating health of aquarium inhabitants
- Lower antibody production
- Kidney damage
- Decreased fertility
- Inhibited osmoregulation
- Increased stress
- Decreased slime coat production = more vulnerable to disease
- Lower dissolved oxygen levels in the water.
Usage
BRIGHT Resin should be placed in your filtration setup in such a way as to ensure enough flow through the resin bag. This can be achieved by tightly packing floss or other filter pads around the resin bag.
It should be placed last in the order of filter media, AFTER your floss polishing media.
Recharge Method
Over time, BRIGHT Resin will lose its ability to removes Nitrates from your water. The positive side however is that this ability can be recovered by "recharging" the resin. BRIGHT Resin can be recharged up to 4 times and should be recharged on average every 3 months.
Step 1: Remove resin bag from filtration setup and rinse under running water.
Step 2: Dissolve 200g Aquarium Salt / UA Recharge Tablets in 2 litres of warm water.
Step 3: Soak the resin bag in the solution for between 12 — 24 hours.
Step 4: Briefly rinse the resin bag under running water and return to filtration setup.
Storage
BRIGHT Resin should be stored damp, in an airtight container. Always store in a cool dark place. Recommended storage temperature is between 15 C and 45 C.

BRIGHT 150: For aquariums with a max volume of 150 litres.
BRIGHT 300: For aquariums with a max volume of 300 litres.
BRIGHT 600: For aquariums with a max volume of 600 litres.
