A scarce and visually stunning set of four consecutive serial number £5 British Armed Forces notes, Second Series (EE283643EE283646), issued between 1948 - 1950
These special vouchers were used by the British military for internal transactions within official canteens, bases, and overseas commands not legal tender for the public, making surviving examples rare.

Printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company, London, these notes feature elaborate guilloché patterns in blue, orange, and yellow with FIVE POUNDS boldly across the centre, and intricate reverse engravings with denomination and floral motifs.
