Vintage bi-metal Middlesex Regiment cap badge featuring Prince of Waless plumes, coronet, and motto scrolls.

Full Description

This item is an original British Army cap badge for The Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridges Own), dating from approximately 1898 to 1958. The badge is produced in bi-metal, a traditional construction using white metal for the central elements and brass/gilding metal for the backing.

The design includes:
The Prince of Waless plumes
The coronet
Motto scrolls
ICH DIEN (I Serve)
MIDDLESEX REGT

This pattern of badge was worn from the late Victorian period through both World Wars and up to the regiments amalgamation in 1966. Bi-metal Middlesex badges are particularly collectable due to their long period of use and distinctive regimental identity.
