This Bugle was manufactured by John Grey & Sons, London, and is made of copper with brass trim at the mouth of the instrument, in front of the mouthpiece, below the rear shoulder, and on the top loop of the under-pipe.
According to information I have received, which I cannot substantiate, it must have been made circa 1930.
It has the word 'FOREIGN' under the name, which may imply that this was made for the foreign market.
The mouth piece has the words 'YAMAHA JAPAN 11' stamped on it, therefore this is not the original part.
This item has seen much wear, and like most old soldiers has many dents and bruises. It must have been polished many times over the years and as a result it does not shine, but has a buff finish.
I have no idea what the key of this instrument is.
Have you a good home for this instrument that has no doubt done it's duty to man and country.
