This gold coin, weighing 6.2 grams, was sent for grading to NGC who declined because they question its authenticity. However, this coin was originally part of the large shipwreck collection I sold recently. The coins were mostly bought in the 1970s and this specimen actually comes with its original certificate saying that it was bought for 420 Swiss Francs from the respected Swiss company Gold & Numismatic SBG in Zurich. It was later incorporated into the current company trading as Sincona AG managed by the well know numismatist Jürg Richter.
