ON AUCTION IS THIS BRITISH ROYAL NAVY 3 POUNDER GUN BRASS SHELL CASING MANUFACTURED BY THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS & METAL COMPANY IN 1896.

Standing for the Birmingham Small Arms & Metal Company founded in 1861. This specific name was used by the iconic manufacturer between 1872 and 1897 during a period when the company expanded into ammunition and metal processing - It dropped the "& M.Co" in 1897 after selling off its ammunition business to the Birmingham Metal and Munitions Company.
