Three original British Police Duty bands, sometimes referred to as an 'armlet', in good original condition. The armbands were worn for many years by the police to show when they were on duty. They were also issued to special constables and were worn with civilian clothing. The armbands are made from a heavy woven wool and feature white and blue stripes. They are adjustable using a simple loop to hold them in position. Worn from the Victorian period until after the Second World War.
