BROAD SHANK STERLING SILVER RING WITH NATURAL TANZANITE GEMSTONE!

As much as I love faceted fine jewellery - particularly when its tanzanite - there is something special about wearing the gemstone in its natural state! This ring features a particularly large piece of natural tanzanite that has been set into a broad shank solid sterling silver ring. Its a very modern simple and clean design, which contrasts rather well with the roughness of the natural gemstone. It is a big piece - 21 mm up the finger on the ring head - and the broad shank continues in a single sweep of silver around the back where it curls into a tip, almost, but not quite touching, the front of the ring again. The tanzanite itself is 16mm at its longest point X 11 mm across. The setting is a raised frame of silver and the top of the ring head sits 8mm above the finger. Not for everyone - but if you like natural gemstones, this one is rather special!
Tanzanite is the new birthstone for December, and is the gem of fortune and luck!
