Isolation Amplifier, Optically, 1 Amplifier, -300 µV, 5 kV, 3V to 5.5V, SOIC, 8PinsProduct OverviewThe ACPL-C870-000E is a precision optically isolated voltage sensor in 8 pin SSOpackage. This voltage sensor is an optical isolation amplifier designedspecifically for voltage sensing. Its 2V input range and high 1Gohm inputimpedance makes it well suited for isolated voltage sensing requirements inelectronic power converters applications. A resistive voltage divider is used toscale DC link voltage to suit input range of voltage sensor. A differentialoutput voltage that is proportional to input voltage is created on other side ofoptical isolation barrier. The ACPL-C870 operates from single 5V supply andprovides excellent linearity. An active high shutdown pin is available whichreduces IDD1 current to only 15mA making them suitable for battery powered andother power sensitive applications.
