I could find only one reference on the internet regarding this medal:-

 “…bronze 5th Army medal for the Rome-Arno campaign having the stylized map of Italy at obverse with airplanes, ships and submarine and reverse shows an US Airborne parachutist assault over the field with tanks and cannons underneath and special text surrounding it saying THE ITALIANS TO THE HEROIC 5TH ARMY. We think this was given on the occasion of the successful D-Day assault and liberation of Italy from NAZI German and fascist Army…”
