Keith Calder was born in Cradock in the Eastern Cape in 1959 . He commenced his career as a Conservationist/Game Ranger  in which capacity he worked for 10 years mostly at the Kruger National Park .He began modelling animal forms in clay whilst recuperating from Malaria and subsequently honed and developed his skills to become a recognized and highly regarded full time artist mostly working in bronze . I have seen a Pangolin and seated Heron designed by Calder from this collection.
