Robinson, a contemporary of Rhodes, Beit, Wernher and the other great "Randlords", was a man of controversy, but also an important pioneer in South Africa's diamond and gold-mining industries. This is the first biography of him to be published since his death in Wynberg, Cape Town, in 1929. The author had access to the Robinson Papers, privately housed in Cape Town. With lots of old black and white photographs and cartoons.
First published 2001 by The Gryphon Press, Rondebosch, South Africa. This is the second edition of 2008. Condition: Excellent.
