Jan Sebastian Rabie (14 November 1920 - 15 November 2001) was 'n Afrikaanse skrywer van kortverhale, romans en ander literere werke. Rabie was een van die sogenaamde Sestigers, 'n groep invloedryke Afrikaanse skrywers van die 1960's. Hy het een-en-twintig werke gelewer. Buidel sluit outobiografies aan by beide n Haan vir Elo nda en n Boek vir Onrus, met sketse wat oor hierdie tydperke in Jan se lewe en die mense wat hy toe ontmoet het, handel. Dit bevat ook n aantal van die rubrieke wat in tydskrifte en koerante verskyn het, waarin hy onder meer die stryd om Afrikaans behandel.
