From Eastern Europe this variety is so called due to its likeness in shape to a carrot. With a plant height reaching 50cm it takes 120 days from planting to maturity. The fruits are around 8cm to 10cm long and carrot shaped. Bulgarian carrot peppers are very hot and turn from green, to a yellowish orange, to orange when mature. The plant has green stems, green leaves, and white flowers. A crunchy chilli pepper it is ideal in pickles, salsa, and marinades.
