Product Description
With over 5,000 species, the ammonites formed the largest Group of cephalopods. Its shell was usually rolled spirally and looked like a ram's horn. They appeared in the sea about 390 million years ago and died at the end of the Cretaceous period 65 million years ago, much like the dinosaurs.
