During a training run, he seriously injures himself and must accept that he can never fly in a race again. That's why he wants to join the firefighting aircraft of Piston Peak National Park and train with them. In spite of his handicap, Dusty throws himself at the new job with all his devotion, risking a lot in the process. And if you're wondering about his new chassis: after he was damaged during a flight, Maru equipped him with this great replacement.
