Dish Cloth Honey Comb DC 65 (10Pc Pack)?
These classic knitted honeycomb dishcloths have been a staple in South African homes, hotels and offices for decades. Their specialist weave makes them highly absorbent and perfect for every kitchen, no matter how hard-working.
These essential kitchen cloths are conveniently packed in quantities of ten in a mixture of lovely colours ? red, royal blue, turquoise and green. No home, hotel or office should be without them. They will serve you well for the purposes of cleaning dishes and glasses, washing counters and tabletops, cleaning sinks and basins, floors, and so much more.
Caring For Your Dish Cloths
Your hardworking, super-absorbent dishcloths clean up one mess after another, which means they risk becoming bacteria colonies. The kitchen carries the reputation of being a higher source of bacteria than a bathroom.
When your beautiful sinks are cleaned with your dishcloth or sponge, these items capture the bacteria and remain damp for a while. When it is dry, most people reuse it to dry their plates or wipe counter surfaces, which is not ideal.
This is why multiple cloths are essential in a kitchen. After rinsing your cloths during the morning, switch to using a new cloth for the afternoon. At the end of the day, sterilise your dishcloths with a hot wash.
Sterilising Dishcloths
Fill a saucepan with water and bring it to a rapid boil. Add two tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda and your dishcloths to the boiling water. Let them ?stew? for about a quarter of an hour. This treatment should eliminate bacteria and the addition of the bicarb will work on any smelly components.
Use kitchen tongs to remove the dishcloths and hang them in an area that will allow them to dry quickly. If you are in a particularly humid or wet atmosphere, then use a tumble dryer or position a fan blowing on them.
