To deliver peak performance, they are outfitted with extra-low-dispersion (ED) glass, broadband anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics, dielectric coated and phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms, and protective exterior lens coatings that work together to maximize light transmission through the entire light path without colour fringing. The results are bright, sharp, and clear high-contrast views with accurate colour fidelity and crisp resolution across the entire visual spectrum. To further improve the observational experience, the Engage binoculars are designed with a wide exit pupil and 65° apparent angle of view that help to minimize the distracting hand shake that is common when holding powerful optics.
Bushnell built the Engage binoculars to make it easy and comfortable to hold, and provide them with the ability to withstand the harshest elements. Their design provides an ergonomic and balanced feel in the hand that also provides the strength and stability required of workhorse binoculars like these. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to an IPX7 rating, so they are waterproof and resistant to internal fogging if the weather turns or if they take an accidental spill in a stream or puddle. Protecting the optical components is rubber armour outfitted with textured palm pads that provide a sure and secure grip. For those who experience fatigue when holding large optics for long periods, or to simply eliminated vibrations, the Engage binoculars can be tripod-mounted using an optional adapter for easy hands-free use.
