About this Item
A first edition, first impression of the last Peter Wimsey novel, published in 1937 during the Golden Age of detective fiction. Skilful rebind incorporating the whole of the original boards and spine. Has the following first issue points: "errific" for "terrific" on page 227, and "!" for "." on line 30, page 378. Very good indeed, no writing or inscriptions, leaves clean, a little foxing on the outer leaves and edges. Gilt title on black cloth boards very slightly faded but very legible, binding now tight. Excellent price for a rare book in a aesthetically pleasing and robust rebind that can hardly be told apart from the state before rebinding. Seller Inventory # 65547
