C1800's - Original Oil of Horses

On offer this very old painting, estimated to date back to the 1800's, depicting horses and men in a field. The artist who did not sign the painting had a good knowledge of the physiology of horses, the animals beautifully and realistically depicted in different stances. It is framed in what I suspect to it's original frame measuring 52x41 and 39x28 (painting only). There are a couple of fly spots on the painting. There is a lighter area at the lower part of the painting, some are of the opinion that it is smoke from the herdsman's dying fire or it could be light reflecting off grass. To the left of this, there are a couple of spots that look like faded paint. The are chafing marks on the high areas of the frame.
