This Foley mark was used between 1948 to 1963 where the date 1850 refers not on the date when the plate was manufactured but rather when the factory Foley China Works was first operated by Mr. Robinson. In 1885 it was purchased by Elijah Brain and his partners. The EB stands for Elijah Brain
