CA Anti-Virus 2009 is a software product of Computer Associates that will protect the user's PC-files from computer viruses, worms and Trojans.

It uses a combination of Email Scanning, protecting against viruses that arrive via email, and the Real-time Scanning of your computer files when they are opened, closed or saved to your PC.

The installation went smooth, very smooth actually, everybody can do this. The software has a User Friendly Interface and a low usage of system resources. Daily, automatic Updates makes it easy to use.
Real-time scanning is also support by a heuristic scanning module which helps detect new threats before virus protection updates are created.

Besides on-demand scanning it is possible to let your computer be scanned on a convenient time by a scheduled scan.

As an user I've found CA Anti-Virus 2009  easy to use. I think it is a good anti-virus solution at a decent price. This product is not as overblown and resource hungry as Norton (from Symantec) and McAfee. I like the real time monitoring of this AV program. The update intervals are a plus as well.
