Cabbage Copenhagen Market
100 days — One of the largest early maturing roundhead varieties. The solid, round heads are 15 to 20cm inches in diameter and average 1 ½ to 2 kg in weight. Keeps well.
Bred by Hjalmar Hartmann & Co. of Copenhagen, Denmark and first introduced in 1909. The exact parentage is not known but is believed to be the old German variety, 'Ditmarscher'. W. Atlee Burpee introduced 'Copenhagen Market' into the United States in 1911.
