Comprising designs and details of construction with 2021 working drawings and twelve coloured plates drawn to scale.
Cassell and Company, 1910. Hard cover, 568 pages. Not in bas shape for such an old book. Foxing. The binding has a crack in the back and is partly loose in front. The cover has wear and tear. Small stain on last few pages. Over 1kg.
From the Publisher's note: CABINETWORK AND JOINERY ...includes no less than 250 different designs with details, the illustrations numbering 2,021 in all. In almost every case the objects here illustrated have been made by their designers, who also contributed the original drawings and descriptions either to Work or to Building World, and it is from the columns of those two weekly journals that this volume has been compiled. The thoroughly practical character of the work is thus assured, the contributors including the foremost master-craftsmen of the day. Emphasis is laid on the fact that the book is concerned with actual practice only. In every case the designs are workmanlike, and the host of detail illustrations - of which this book certainly contains more than any other of its kind, if any other exists - will be welcomed by all craftsmen who seek for thoroughness and sound constructional practice.
