Call of Duty: Ghosts (Xbox ONE)

A first person shooter set in the years after an attack leaves the US severely weakened. When a new enemy arises, the remaining Special Forces units form the Ghosts to defend their country against attack.

Ten years after a devastating attack on the US, the country has just started picking up the pieces. With its infrastructure in disarray, the country has fallen from the ranks of the superpowers and is vulnerable to attack. The last of the countrys Special Forces units band together into a newly formed unit the titular Ghosts to protect their country from an enemy invasion. This is where you come in. You are one of these Ghosts and its up to you to defend the US.

A new balance of power

The shifted balance of power may not look like a major change at first but it changes everything. Where most games and movies have you relying on the endless resources that come with being superpower, Call of Duty: Ghosts forces you to rely on more than your trigger finger to fulfil your mission objectives. Youre the underdog this time, and youll have to defeat an enemy with far more resources.

An ever-changing world

Call of Duty: Ghosts uses a similar game engine to the previous instalments in the Call of Duty series but Infinity Ward have overhauled it to enable new gameplay experiences, including dynamic maps and a level of player customisation thats never existed before. Maps in this next-generation game shift and change in response to your actions and gameplay events so youll never have to play the same mission twice.
