Clearly marked 800 on the fully working clasp. 80% solid silver with some 24 karat gold on top, though this has worn a bit with time due to 24 k gold being so soft.

Wonderful condition cameos, all hand carved from conch shell, depicting 9 dancing muses. The dancers have been beautifully carved.

Made in Italy many years ago, probably in the 19th century.

The weight is 21 grammes. The cameos are 2 cm high at front and gradate down in size to about 1 cm high at the back.

Bracelet fits a  lady's wrist:  5 cm internal diameter.

A fantastic item of jewellery not often seen in South Africa. Perfect gift for the cameo lover.
