If you are going to have a good night's sleep then your choice of bed is critical. The compromise is often between comfort and space, it would be really neat to take a full mattress and bedding along but there won't be a lot of space over for all the other stuff. Inflatable beds are the obvious answer and here is the Campingaz Quickbed offering.
The double bed is 188cm long x 137cm wide and 19 cm high. The bottom is made from durable 0.35mm thick PVC which is puncture resistant (not puncture proof) and the top surface is 0.56mm thick flocked PVC which has an almost velvet feel. This is a non-slip finish and is also more comfortable to lie on. The bed is constructed with air pockets that give better support than a basic inflatable bed. The valve has a double lock so it won't let you down in the night. The Quickbed comes in a box 36cm x 30cm x 7.5cm and with a little practice we got the bed pretty much back down to that size again so it does not occupy much space.
It is supplied with a repair kit in case you do puncture the bed.
A word of advice, unless you have lungs like Bruce Fordyce you are not going to blow this bed up on your own, you need a pump to do the hard work for you. You can use a tyre pump with the correct adapter but then please don't forget about it. We were at a camping site where the guys next door did just that; we now know inflatable beds make quite a loud bang when they eventually give way.
The bed comes with a 2 year warranty against manufacturing defects.
