Canon 100-400 4.5-5.6 L IS - AS NEW

Reluctantly up for sale is my much loved Canon 100-400 4.5-5.6 L IS USM lens. Pictures you see are of the actual lens.

 

It is the longest focal range that Canon makes in a zoom lens. Added to this, Image Stabilisation assists with the perfection of your images and just adds to the value and performance of this brilliant lens. I bought it six years ago and have used it as many times.

 

In pristine condition, as it was the day I bought it, comes with the box, manual, Canon carry case and Canon lens hood; all items are as they were when I bought the lens. The lens has been dressed with a UV filter from the day I bought it. The optics (back and front) is clear, clean and in perfect condition.

 

There are:

·         No marks

·         No scratches

·         No dings

·         No dents

 

To describe the lens to you, I can do it one way only… imagine walking into a dealer and asking for one of these lenses… except for the fact that it is not brand new, everything else is exactly the same as a brand new lens. Look at the tripod collar; the foot doesn’t have marks on it.

 

The image stabilizer helps significantly when handholding in low light - that is as long as you have a still subject. While the 100-400 L's IS system will detect a tripod and automatically disable itself, turning off IS when using a tripod will save a little battery life and cause the IS mechanism to be locked in a centered position. You can estimate IS on this lens to help with 2 stops or so of shutter speed handhold ability.
