Canon 550EX flash

This Canon 550ex is a big and powerful flash.  It has been replaced recently by the 580ex as Canon's flagship speedlight.  You can save the money and buy this unit at half the price of the 580ex.  It has the same power output and ETTl and ETTL-II.  Has a zoom head with swivel and bounce and built-in diffuser.  New units sold at over R5000.  This unit is in good condition, no dings or dents although there are a few light scratches from normal use.  It works beautifully and there is no corrosion in the battery compartment (a problem which afflicts many 2nd units).

The most desirable feature is it's "wireless master" mode.  This flash is able to fire other Canon speedlights (such as 420/430ex) in a wireless configuration that will allow you "studio" lights on a budget-controlled wirelessly with this flash.  In fact Canon's stand alone wireless transmitter, the ST-E2 sell for over R3000.   Here you're getting a powerful flash & transmitter in one for less money.  A true bargain.

Caution:  This unit is more suitable for the heavier Canon bodies, such as 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, 5D etc.  It is more for pro use therefore rank amateurs should look elsewhere.
