Inspired by the smooth curves of the human form, the moulded titanium body of the Digital IXUS 960 IS fits comfortably in the hand. The Touch Control Dial offers fingertip access to key camera functions. A massive 12.1 Megapixels resolution delivers enough detail for huge poster-size prints and creative image manipulation. The Digital IXUS 960 IS incorporates a 3.7x zoom lens with Canon’s renowned optical Image Stabilizer technology to counteract camera shake. The ultra-compact lens incorporates an Ultra-High Refractive Aspherical Index (UA) element for the capture of high quality images throughout the zoom range. In tandem with IS, user-selected Auto ISO Shift offers enhanced protection against camera shake. High ISO 1600 and High ISO Auto target the blur caused by typical subject movement. Canon's DIGIC III processor provides lightning quick responses, superb image quality and advanced noise reduction for sharper, clearer images. Face Detection AF/AE/FE and iSAPS analyse the scene, detect subjects in the frame and select the optimum focus, exposure and flash settings. When operating in playback mode, Face Detection Technology allows you to quickly and accurately correct red-eye without affecting the rest of the image. A high resolution (230,000 pixels) PureColor LCD displays richer, vivid colours with sharp definition. An anti-glare, scratch-resistant coating aids visibility in bright light and adds extra protection against knocks and scrapes. 18 shooting modes including Beach, Indoor and ISO 3200 aid the capture of still images in tricky lighting conditions. My Colors in-camera photo effects can be applied both during and after shooting.
