The Ingenious Canon EOS 90D is a mid-range DSLR that replaces the 3.5-year-old 80D. It fits between the EOS 77D and the 'yes, it still exists' EOS 7D Mark II, and offers Canon's latest processor and a brand-new sensor. 

The 90D is essentially the DSLR version of the EOS M6 Mark II mirrorless camera, which was introduced alongside it. Since the specs are nearly identical, Canon is letting potential buyers choose what type of shooting experience they want: a midsize DSLR with an optical viewfinder and more physical controls or a smaller and lighter mirrorless model with a removable electronic finder. And, of course, the difference in native lens line-ups between the EF and M mounts could attract different types of users, as well.

While the outer design of the 90D doesn't dramatically depart from the 80D's, the guts are quite a bit different

High-Speed Continuous Shooting up to 11 Fps

All thanks to an advanced DIGIC 8 Image Processor, the Canon EOS 90D Camera is capable of delivering a high-speed continuous shooting of up to 11 fps to ensure that you capture fast-moving subjects while recording video.

45-Point All Cross-Type autofocus

The 90D camera features a new high-performance, flexible 45 points all cross-type AF system. When used with a compatible lens, each focus point is an f/5.6 cross-type, which ensures the camera can lock on to both horizontal and vertical detail quickly and precisely. The technology delivers accurate, fast autofocus and tracking over a wide area and across a range of subjects.

Designed to shoot in a range of lighting conditions, with a variety of lens and extender combinations, the AF system is sensitive down to -3EV (moonlight). It contains 27 f/8 compatible AF points (9 f/8 cross-type) and one extra sensitive f/2.8 and f/5.6 dual cross-type point in the center. For optimum flexibility, users have the choice of selecting 4 AF zone modes, which are superimposed in the viewfinder and can be quickly selected using the area selector button next to the shutter release.

Dual Pixel CMOS and Movie Servo autofocus

The 90D from Canon features Dual Pixel CMOS AF that is enhanced thanks to the improved sensor performance and revised AF algorithms in the camera. When shooting or recording in live view, the Dual Pixel CMOS AF system integrates two separate photodiodes within each pixel to provide a dense array of phase-detect points across the image sensor for fast and accurate focus.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF is now also possible with all EF and EF-S lenses and can be used in combination with continuous shooting during Live View.

Record Beautiful UHD 4K Video and Full HD

Create beautiful and high-resolution video footage wherever you go with the 90D, or even when creating a travel vlog, cinematic-style movie. The Canon EOS 90D Camera delivers total flexibility with 4K @ 30 fps, or record in Full HD @ 120 fps. Additionally, you have the freedom of recording beautiful uncropped or cropped videos.

ISO 100-25 600

With the advanced sensor and DIGIC 8 Image Processor incorporated, ensures to provide an excellent light sensitivity range of ISO 100-25 600 and an extended ISO of 51 200. With the advanced technology, the Canon 90D is capable of shooting in varying light conditions. This will also allow the Autofocus system to work under moonlight (-3EV).
