With the ability to shoot up to 3 fps when shooting continuously, the Canon camera body is a digital SLR camera that has a sensor resolution of 8.0 MP. The 1.8-inch color screen has an LCD display and TFT active matrix. The CMOS optical sensor of the Canon camera body is sized at 14.8 mm by 22.2 mm. Maximum shutter speed of the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT/350D is 1/4000 second and the minimum shutter speed is 30 seconds. The built-in pop-up flash of the 8.0 MP black camera body has the ability reduce the age-old problem of red eye and features AF illuminator and flash +/- compensation. The exposure compensation is +/- 2 EV range, in 1/2 or 1/3 EV steps and the exposure range is EV 1-20 (ISO 100). The Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT/350D supports the flash memory of CompactFlash 1, Compact Flash II, and Microdrive. With an optical eye-level mirror pentaprism viewfinder, the camera body has field coverage of 95 percent, magnification of 0.8x, and dioptric correction range of -3 to +1.
