The Canon imageFORMULA DR-6030C is a high-speed A3 departmental document scanner designed for organisations that need to digitise substantial volumes of business records. Its 100-sheet automatic document feeder, automatic duplex scanning and flexible media paths support everyday documents, mixed batches, plastic cards and long documents measuring up to 3 metres.
High-Speed A3 Document Capture
The DR-6030C scans A4 documents at up to 60 pages per minute in portrait orientation or up to 80 pages per minute when fed in landscape orientation. Automatic duplex scanning captures both sides in one pass at up to 160 images per minute, helping workgroups process large document batches more efficiently.
100-Sheet Automatic Document Feeder
The automatic document feeder holds up to 100 sheets of 80 g/m² paper. Automatic and manual feeding modes, together with U-turn and straight-through paper paths, provide flexibility for different document sizes, weights and media types.
Flexible Media Handling
Documents ranging from business-card size to A3 can be scanned through the feeder. Long Document Mode supports sheets measuring up to 3,000 mm, while the straight paper path helps accommodate suitable plastic cards and heavier media that may not be appropriate for the standard U-turn path.
Detailed Colour Scanning
A three-line CMOS CIS sensor, RGB LED light source and 600 × 600 dpi optical resolution support detailed colour, greyscale and monochrome capture. Automatic shading calibration is performed before scanning to help maintain consistent image quality.
Intelligent Image Processing
Automatic colour and page-size detection can reduce manual preparation, while deskew and text-orientation recognition help correct documents that are misaligned or inverted. Three-Dimensional Colour Correction, background removal, bleed-through prevention and colour dropout provide additional control over the captured image.
Reliable Batch Feeding
Ultrasonic double-feed detection identifies overlapping sheets and can stop the scanning process before pages are missed. Skew detection provides additional protection by identifying documents that may contact the edge of the feed opening.

Canon recommends a daily volume of up to 10,000 scans. Hi-Speed USB 2.0 provides a straightforward computer connection, while SCSI-III supports integration with compatible legacy document-capture systems.
