The IXUS 1000 HS incorporates Canon's TruCapture technology, makes it easy for users to get the shot they want. TruCapture combines three Canon proprietary technologies Optical Image Stabilizer for clear, sharp shots; a DiG!C 4 Image Processor for true-to-life colours; and Intelligent Auto that makes taking photos easy. Handheld Night Scene allows users to take night shots without using a tripod by taking several images in succession and using the camera's Image Processor to combine the photos and reduce noise from high ISO speed. When using Best Image Selection mode the camera automatically takes five continuous shots and quickly selects the best image, making it easy for everyone to capture a great picture.
