Canon PowerShot S1 IS Digital Camera

Canon PowerShot S1 IS Digital Camera

Offered is a Canon PowerShot S1 IS digital camera, presented together with a 1 GB SanDisk CompactFlash memory card, camera strap and camera bag.

The camera is in the condition shown in the photographs and presents very well for its age. It has been tested using four AA batteries and powers on successfully. I was able to take photographs and record video, and the images and video were successfully written to and read from the included CompactFlash memory card.

During testing, the following functions were confirmed to be working:

• Camera powers on
• Photographing function
• Video recording
• LCD screen
• Built-in flash
• Zoom function lens extends and retracts correctly
• Image recording to the CompactFlash card
• Playback of recorded images/video
• Basic camera controls and menus

The camera therefore appears to be in excellent working condition, based on the testing carried out.

Also included is the 1 GB SanDisk CompactFlash memory card, together with the camera strap and camera bag, making this a particularly appealing package for a collector or enthusiast of early digital photography.

Please note that this is an over 20-year-old digital camera. Although it has been tested and the functions described above were found to be working at the time of testing, I cannot guarantee future reliability or the remaining lifespan of any electronic, mechanical, optical or battery-related components.

The camera is consequently being sold as-is, as a vintage/collectors item, with the condition and contents to be judged from the photographs provided. Prospective bidders are advised to carefully examine all photographs and take the age of the camera into consideration when placing a bid.

Included: Canon PowerShot S1 IS camera, 1 GB SanDisk CompactFlash memory card, camera strap and camera bag.

A lovely example of an early Canon digital bridge camera and a complete period package for a collector of vintage digital photography.
