Canon's WP-DC600 case will allow you to take underwater shots at depths of up to 30 meters (100 feet). Capture those underwater shots or use worry-free during inclement weather. The case also provides protection from sand, dirt and dust.
"An attraction of the Ixus V3 was the fact that you were able to buy this waterproof casing. As a keen diver I wanted to be able to take underwater photos but didnt want the expense of a professional set-up. This provided a relatively cheap alternative.
I have dived with the waterproof casing and Ixus V3 to a depth of 29m and found the photos to be of such quality that there was no difference to photos taken without the casing on land. Photos taken on land with the camera in the casing are also of no quality difference.
The buttons on the case are easy to use and enable you to perform all function of the camera underwater. Although I havent had to, the buttons are big enough to use with gloves on. The flash difuser is also of benefit.
The limit of 30m's is not a problem as below this depth you will need strobe lighting (or a very powerful underwater torche) and normally the most interesting features underwater are well within this limit.
I have also used this casing for taking photos surfing and found it to be excellent. A good addition if you are near water often (eg the beach) and want to take photos.
All in all a very well designed set up suitable for the amature underwater photograher."
