Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III MM Autofocus Lens

Included in the auction is a Hoya UV filter.

This is a lens I bought new many moons ago, together with a Canon EOS 500 film camera. I have not used it from years. I do not need it as I have Canon EF 70-200 F/2.8 as well as a Canon 500 F/4 prime. Optically this lens is exactly the same as the later USM version. The only difference is that focussing is margnally slower, and apparently the motor is slightly noisier, but I could never hear the difference. I am sistematically selling off all the equipment that I'm not using.

The lens is in "like new" condition, exceptionally well looked after.

For those not farmiliar with the lens:

The lightest 4x telephoto zoom lens in its class. Ideal for sports, portraiture, animals, etc. The telephoto effect can make the picture look compressed or have excellent background blur. At the 300mm focal length, you can fill the frame with a postcard from 4.9' away.
